- Location features run only when you choose to use them. No background tracking.
- Chat location sharing stores the coordinates you send as part of the message, under the same retention policy as other messages (anonymized on withdrawal, originals kept 1 year by law, then destroyed).
- Approximate location for weather and nearby suggestions is used to build those suggestions and is deleted 30 days after it was last used. Turning location off deletes it right away.
- Shared locations are visible only to the members of the chat you send them to. No other third-party provision except lawful requests.
